Netgear unveils new 3G/4G mobile broadband router line-up

Netgear, a US-based manufacturer of computer networking equipment, has unveiled a new line-up of 3G/4G mobile broadband routers for the home and small businesses, ZDnet has reported. The new routers support 3G and 4G LTE connections with enabled devices via 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11N Wi-Fi. The most basic is the quad-band MBR1200 with 3G HSPA+ support and rates up to 21Mbps. The 3G DC-HSPA+ ready MBR1310 and MBR2000 speed things up to 42Mbps, and the MBR1517 allows up to 100Mbps with LTE connectivity.

2. AME bishop will be guest speaker at Brotherhood Banquet

The Rev. John Richard Bryant, the senior bishop and presiding prelate of the Fourth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, will be the guest speaker at the Feb. 26 Brotherhood Banquet at Country Comfort Inn and Suites.
The banquet, part of the local African-American Heritage Month celebration, is scheduled for 6 p.m. The theme of this year's banquet is "Walking in Integrity."
Bryant also will be speaking at 4 p.m. Feb. 27, at Madison Park Christian Church as a part of Founder's Day festivities.
"I first met Bishop Bryant years ago at a conference in Atlanta, Ga.," said the Rev. James Hailey III, pastor of Bethel AME Church in Quincy.
"He is one of the most renowned preachers in America. He is a humble man but carries a mighty word."
Bryant has always been a proponent of church growth, community development and political empowerment. He has preached and taught on more than 35 college campuses, preached on five continents, and pastored churches in Massachusetts and Maryland.
Bryant has degrees from Morgan State University, the Boston University School of Theology and Colgate Rochester Divinity School. He serves on the boards of the Interdenominational Theological Center, Turner Theological Center, Payne Theological Seminary and the National Church Advisory Council of the American Bible Society. He is vice president of the World Methodist Council Division of Evangelism, and has served in England, Brazil, Israel, India, Greece, Cuba and Kenya.
"He has touched many lives through the years," Hailey said.
Among the honors Bryant has received are Ebony magazine's Honor Roll of Outstanding African American Preachers and 100 Most Influential Black Americans.
Bryant has published a collection of sermons titled "God Can: Sermons of Encouragement from the Life of Elijah." He and his wife, Cecilia, have co-authored a book titled "Healing for the Wounded Vows." Their children, Jamal and Thema, are both ordained ministers.
